I think these bits are fantastic and highly affordable. I'd purchased more expensive bit from a different vendor, only to find that they became dull very quickly. I've purchased many sets of these for a fraction of the cost and am very happy that I did.
I recently purchased the CA W05011 surfacing cutter used on CNC to flatten oak. Terrible finish. Not flat at all. Each .750 step over pass left a concave shape. Checking the inserts showed they are actually angled downward towards the center and therefore cut a bowl shaped contour into material leaving a wavy pattern across entire surface. Another very big negative about this cutter is that it is designed as left hand rotation, clearly shown in their pictures, but not listed anywhere in description. Cuts terrible when rotating in direction of all normal cutters. Would gladly return for refund but thier policy does not accept used product. Guess I'm stuck with an unusable cutter.
Purchased bit did one test cut I put it away a couple weeks later I was opening the protective container it comes in and it fell out of box and landed on my router table about 18 inch fall and the bearings snapped off I had purchased from Amazon but contacted spetool directly they said it was Amazons problem I have been a wood worker for 50 plus years and dropped many router bits from much higher never had one break
Snapped in the first turn. For the price I had to try it, but the $70 Amana will last you way longer.
I have several surfacing bits in my tool box, including a couple of the expensive “A” bits this puts them all to shame. Want to make some wood chips this is your tool. It is an animal and has saved me so much time. I don’t write many reviews but this one deserves it.
